Sawps

To the Spring Blooms Mini quilt Swap I started these two houses - I just blocked and couldn't make up my mind each fabrics I would choose!! This is my first swap and don't know my partner, she is a complete stranger to me.

At this point the blue house is my favourite but, I will not give up on the red house.

Because I didn't give up on the red house, now is my favourite one and the blue house is appart; I'll finish it another time. I realyy couldn't make up my mind!eheh. Normally I am not that kind of person.

For the Pincushion Summer Swap I made this owl pincushion and this fabric postcard

I hated the green square fabric but but now I love this tote bag.
I don't know who said this but, now I agree with him/her: there's no ugly fabrics
This is my own pattern.

Workshops

All my three squares are ready for the workshop; I choose purple and the is black. I know they are too dark but I know if I use a white thread I can see it on both sides and it was the best I can do in so little time!

This is what we are going to learn - quilting - and in the end all the squares will pieced together using the technique "quilt as you go". The designs are so perfect.

A few months ago I went to a workshop where I learned how to make a cardboard box and and use fabric to cover it. I liked it so much that I made these four.
My favourite is this one where the fabric has sewing motifs: the top is with thimbles, the sides have pincushions, old sewing machines, pins and scissores. Inside I used a red square fabric and a ribbon to close.

Cheating!!!eheh

Unwanted neighbours

These flowers are from my garden. The reds are late - wake up ladies!!eheh

And look what I found just next to my front door!! The litle devil was fasssssst!
We tryed to explain her that no snakes allowed but she refused to move away so; she also attacked me and tryed to bite so, we had to use force!
I'm not gonna show this to my mum; if I do that she will never come to visit me again!!Oh, that wouldn't such a bad idea!!ahahah

Aula de Patchwork

For this lady I have to make all the blocks on paper - yes, it's paper piecing - for her to sew them. I never made a rail fence so big on paper piecing!!
She says the other way is to complicated but I think this way is much more complicated and you have much more work (me and her) and, in the end you have to remove the paper.
What's going to be? Another pillow?!

In one of the classes I taught crazy patchwork - this is one of the quilts made by one of my students.
They really liked it.

Nélia, one of my students, is making the sandwich - the top was all sewn by hand and, she is going to quilt it by and too. I taught her how to and, made a design to guide her.

Handmade gifts

For the Triangle Humbug Swap I made this bag and a pincushion to go with. I choosed purple because it's one of Annet's favourite colors.
I am so excited, this is my first swap!

The two sides of the pincushion.

It was so fun making this pincushion that I made more two; I don't like reds but this cherish red is very beautiful ...and sexy!ehehe

I bought this fabric to Vicky before she return to the States, I wish I could find more like this, it is beautiful.

I saw this pattern on a spanish magazine so, pick up my fat quarters, my fabric stash and start to work on it. As you can see I mixed diferent styles.

This is the final result!
Now I need to choose a fabric to the border and because I used so many different fabrics, this is gonna be a very dificult task.
